12L14 is a re-sulfurized, re-phosphorized free-machining steel. This premium grade of free-cutting steel is utilized in repetitive machining applications.
12L14 steel is favored by engineers and machinists for a wide variety of applications. It boasts excellent machinability and is suitable for case hardening and electroplating.

Applications include aircraft landing bolts, fasteners, bushings, and shafts,

Due to its lead content, 12L14 is not recommended for welding. Caution: It poses health hazards.

*Bars from different heats will be distinctly separated and labeled.
*Bars will be bundled and securely strapped in at least three places along the bar length and tagged properly.
* For further processing, such as cold-drawn/peeled or heat-treated goods, wrapping in plastic bags or pallet loading is available upon customer's request.
