12L14 is a re-sulphurized, re-phosphorized free machining steel. This premium grade is ideal for high-volume repetition machining.
Engineers and general machinists use 12L14 for a wide range of applications due to its excellent machinability. It is also suitable for case
hardening and electroplating.

12L14 is a premium free cutting steel grade, suitable for all types of high production and repetition machining.
10. Welding of 12L14
12L14 is not recommended for welding due to its lead content, which poses a health hazard.
11. Packing of Steel Bars:
Bars from different heats will not be mixed but dispatched separately.
Bars will be bundled and securely strapped with metal bands in at least three places along their length and tagged properly.
* For further processing products such as cold drawn/peeled or heat-treated goods, plastic bag wrapping or pallet loading is available as per customer's requirements.
